CANADIAN DEFENSIVE PISTOL PROPOGATION COURSE

There has been considerable interest in our shooting sport from individuals across the country.We know this because of the inquiries we receive.We would like to see all the regions of Canada benefiting from our training programs and participating in our sport.However, up to now distance and the attendant cost has been a problem.

We think we have an answer.

Have those who are interested attend a series of courses in central Canada and then return to their respective regions trained and equipped to teach the sport to all who are interested.With that in mind we have decided to offer all three of our courses during a one week period this coming July.

This will be a week of intensive training providing the following:

1/ Shield Course - Normally a 1 ½ day program,it will be a 2 ½ day course with heavy emphasis on the practical aspects of shooting.
2/ Range Safety Officer Course - One day program
3/ Instructor Course - One day program
4/ Match - Full day. This will be set up and run by the participants and will be open to all qualified shooters

The result will be a group of individuals fully qualified to teach new shooters and RO matches.

Date Planned: July 7 through July 12, 2008

Very Special Pricing Offer:

The course fee is $140.00 payable to CSSA and $20 range fees payable to the host range.
It is anticipated that your local club will assist in defraying travel expense and course fees.
However, CSSA will absorb half the course fee of $140 making it $70 for all three courses.
In addition CSSA will underwrite up to $500.00 of your receipted expenses based on the number of new students you qualify at your home club.
The way this works is that each student pays $50.00 for the Shield course. Based on this fee, you get to keep the fees from the first 10 students you instruct when you get back to your home club.

Eligibility:

1/ CSSA member.
2/ Minimum 3 years or more of handgun shooting.
3/ Preferably some holster experience, PPC, IPSC.
4/ Ability and willingness to address small groups.
5/ Ability to instruct others.
