Canadian Defensive Pistol is an action oriented shooting sport similar to the U.S. sport of IDPA.  Our goal is to provide a shooting discipline that maintains a consistency of rules and equipment with a focus on individual shooting skills versus equipment advantage.

We currently have representative clubs in Ontario and Manitoba with interest from New Brunswick, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

Our approach has been to work with the clubs to train competitors and then instructors who can help to develop the sport.  We believe this is the way to go both from a safety standpoint and also the way to support the strong interest we have encountered from individuals.

With a good base of qualified instructors and strong interest we are now poised to build the numbers necessary for organizing regional and provincial matches.

We intend to continue providing safety and proficiency instruction but also a stronger identity, communication and a forum for those who are participating or would like to participate in our shooting discipline.
